Heavy Truck
If you are a driver of a large and heavy vehicle such as a truck, tractor, or trailer, you will understand that the differences between your vehicle and a light vehicle (car) are great. While many of the basic driving principles are similar to those governing light vehicles, maneuvering and controlling a heavy vehicle vary in many respects.
You will learn various aspects of heavy truck driving such as the starting, balancing and positioning of the heavy vehicle, learn the gear functions and its purpose, understand the use of the clutch, brake, accelerator, trafficator and dashboard, road markings and signals, changing lanes, vehicle control, anticipation and reaction, courtesy to other road users and the legal restrictions and obligations.

Your heavy truck driving training consists of completing the below mandatory steps:

Theoretical lectures serve as instructional sessions where trainees familiarize themselves with various aspects of driving. These sessions cover essential topics such as vehicle components, preparation for driving, traffic signals, lane usage, basic driving principles, and accident prevention. Modern teaching methodologies are employed to effectively convey this information, preparing trainees for practical training following the successful completion of the theoretical examination.
Theoretical lectures are conducted in separate halls at different times to accommodate both male and female trainees. They are offered in multiple languages: Arabic, English, Urdu, Malayalam and Bangla. Five lectures are scheduled per day, with trainees having the option to attend during time slots:

1. Lectures can be attended walk-in and no prebooking is required.
2. Lectures can be attended online, onsite, and online in the center at your convenience.

Theory Test:
Upon completing the theoretical lectures, trainees undergo a theoretical examination using a computer-based system. The examination offers language options in Arabic, English, or Urdu. For those who require: an audio system is available, providing questions in three languages.
Key aspects of the theoretical examination include:
- A total of 25 questions.
- A minimum of 18 correct answers is required to pass.
The duration of the test is 20 minutes. - The initial examination is free of charge; however, in the event of failure, a re-examination fee of AED 50 applies.
- Question topics cover traffic signals, lane usage, accident prevention, general laws, and traffic safety.
- Video demonstrations illustrate correct and incorrect driving behaviors.
